There is growing demand, for scientific and evidence-based decision-making defence and security at the heart of government and in industry. Mathematics is fundamental to, providing a framework for understanding and solving varied and complex problems, and model system and scenarios. One of the biggest challenges for mathematicians is the ubiquity of the discipline- that the same maths can be used to solve multiple problems.
